Jared has been involved in music from a very early age, playing on beginner’s guitars & his Dad’s Wurlitzer organ. He started playing Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and guitar (formally) around the age of 10. Shortly after, he picked up electric bass, Tenor Saxophone, and the drum set. Writing songs & small compositions throughout high school, he quickly found that his niche was composing. Jared started working as an assistant recording engineer to the late Brian Friedman (Ike & Tina Turner, Michael Bloomfield, Gari Media Group) in his mid-teens where he got a lot of experience with musicians, singers, and producers. Continuing producing & engineering through college, he also began being mentored by Marc Mann. Alongside Steve Bauman, Jared began writing music for various Music Libraries, which have been placed throughout many television shows and commercials. Jared was in the Film Scoring program at UCLA, where he studied orchestration under Bob Drasnin & Thom Sharp and composing for various visual media under Craig Stuart Garfinkle.
